IT Application Specialist
Location: Kraków
Job Purpose
The IT Application Support Specialist is the person responsible for the 2nd level support of the application. He will perform monitoring activities in order to ensure that the application is operating correctly. The IT Application Support Specialist is also responsible for problem solving and technical improvement of the application.
Responsibilities
- perform day to day monitoring of the system to ensure that all connections to the supported application are working correctly
- support and monitor of all application interfaces
- liaise with the client on matters related to the transfer of data
- manage configuration of the supported application
- cooperate with application development team
- cooperate with IT infrastructure team
- create reports using SQL
- actively participate in continuous improvement of services
- perform user maintenance within the agreed scope
- perform standard service requests within the agreed scope
- be involved in troubleshooting as the 2nd line support:
- perform application error analysis, consult and troubleshoot in cooperation with the 1st (superusers), 3rd line and infrastructure support
- formulate Problem Change Requests and related Functional Specifications
- track and report status of incidents and problems
- be involved in application related projects and change requests:
- collaborate with superusers in requirements gathering
- support superusers in Functional Specifications preparation
- be involved in tests of application
- cooperate with application development and infrastructure teams in releases of new version of the application
- be involved in collecting information for audits
- cooperate with application development and infrastructure teams in implementation of patches
- support the application owner in implementation and fulfilling necessary requirements and policies (ITSS, data privacy, KCO etc.)
- participate in Disaster Recovery tests
Essential Skills and Experiences
ServiceFlow/Client Vintage:
- Higher education, the preferred directions: IT or technical
- Technical skills in:
- SQL, Oracle SQL
- Bash shell scripts
- Linux administration
- Analytical skills
- Basic knowledge of service management (ITIL)
- Basic knowledge of project management (PMP, Agile, Scrum)
- Ability to work in team
DCIW:
- Higher education, the preferred directions: IT or technical
- Technical skills in:
- SQL
- DB2
- MongoDB, JSON
- XML
- Linux administration
- Windows server administration
- Scripting languages – Python, PowerShell or Windows batch
- Java, JavaScript, jquery, CSS, HTML, PHP are welcome
- IBM Rational Performance Tester and Selenium are welcome
