Multi Parts Poland is currently filling the role of Mechatronics Engineer to support our growing business. As the Mechatronics Engineer you will help MPS expand its capabilities in electromechanical devices. General job duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Reverse engineer and re-develop automotive style electromechanical devices of varying vintage and complexity with responsibility for both the electronic and mechanical aspects of the design.
- Building clear development specifications to frame the engineering requirements and provide guidance to the sourcing, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Develop semi-autonomous test equipment with data acquisition with the occasional need to simulate vehicle level communication via CAN bus or LIN bus.
- Research and document patents
- Develop potential methods & designs to avoid patents.
- Document new patents for novel design work arounds.
- Functional working knowledge of Product Development
- Design Tools: DFMEA, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis (5 why’s, Fishbone Diagrams, etc.)
- Software Tools: SolidWorks, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PLM/PDM
- Product Development Gate Process (We utilize a 6 Gate process)
- Ability to establish processes, standard work, and work instructions.
- Capability to compile reports, run Design Reviews, and generate presentations to a specific target audience.
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- Significant experience in the design of automotive or similar components
- PCB design
- Brushless DC Motors – Design and control
- Utilized in Water Pumps, Oil/Hydraulic Pumps, Actuators, etc.
- Sensor design
- Pressure, Temperature, Proximity, Fuel Quality/Type, etc.
- Position sensing and feedback

- Programming skills a plus
- C++, Python, Java, etc.
- Understanding of automotive systems
- OBDII, CAN, LIN, etc.
- Relationships between different systems on a vehicle and their interdependence (e.g., engine, transmission, and fuel system interaction both mechanically as well as electronically between modules).
- ICE (Internal Combustion Engine), HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle), BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle)
- Capability to lead critical development programs while adhering to aggressive timelines and cost requirements.
- Conduct design reviews.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with the internal team.
- Willingness to utilize internal tools such as Sigma Unity (our PLM and Project Management tool), Outlook, and Teams to track the project and capture design critical information.
