We are looking for motivated software professionals for Interoperability Engineer positions. The challenges you will face include support of various software specification, developing, maintaining and testing processes.

Position Description:
You will perform Interoperability Testing between Nokia Network Elements and other vendors’ network infrastructure. You will have an opportunity to work with the latest smartphones (commercial and prototypes) to assist Nokia R&D in implementing new cutting edge telecom features. The IOT team performs Interoperability analysis of new Nokia SW releases, test case design/execution and project reporting. Additional tasks include SW/HW upgrades of Nokia NEs and troubleshooting of interworking issues associated with Nokia equipment.
Must have:

Good end-to-end system knowledge for GSM, UMTS and/or LTE systems.

Knowledge regarding at least one of following areas:
-
Protocols, procedures and signaling messages used on RAN interfaces
-
Principles of Radio Resource Management, Packet Scheduling, Admission Control and/or Mobility procedures
-
QoS mechanisms used in Radio Access and Core networks
-
Protocol/spectrum analyzers and/or test automation tools
-
-
Familiarity with telecommunication open standards (3GPP, IETF, ETSI, ANSI, ITU-T)

good communication in English (both written and spoken);
Nice to have:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or an equivalent education;

Previous experience in interoperability test planning and/or execution is a plus.

Related work experience with protocols/algorithms used in Radio Access Networks (BTSs, radio controllers and/or mobile devices).
