You will work with internal clients to provide close support to the respective departments in all areas of HR, including: compensation & benefits, talent acquisition, performance management, labor law & regulatory compliance, employee engagement, development & training, analytics and reporting.

- Be a single point of contact for managers/employees in all HR-related topics
- Build and maintain partnership with your local, as well as EMEA and global colleagues, to contribute to regional and corporate HR initiatives
- Support Talent Acquisition team in recruitment and employer branding activities
- Advise managers and employees on labor law-related matters
- Work closely with managers and Compensation & Benefits team to ensure good awareness and understanding of the EVP, particularly: appropriate job matching and salary review meetings
- Drive engagement survey process in the respective departments and facilitate implementation of impact plans
- Drive internal performance and development programs
- Advise on a broad scope of employee-related issues. Resolve employee grievances and appeals, support disciplinary actions when necessary
- Develop and implement career and succession planning programs to ensure that the right talent pool is available and developed
- Ensure goal alignment of the HR strategy with business strategy of International Paper and the respective departments
- Support the business in identifying training needs using various tools (e.g. performance evaluation data, psychometric tests), also by supporting creation of personal development plans
- Minimum 3-years of professional experience in international environment, preferably as HR Generalist or HR Business Partner or other leadership position
- Previous experience with a global business company (would be beneficial)
- Higher education, preferably economy, sociology, psychology, or human resources management
- Knowledge of labor law
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-reliance and pro-active approach
- Training and presentation skills proven by professional experience
- Demonstrated competence to work with a minimum level of supervision
- Cognitive flexibility
- Fluency in English
- Other languages such as French, Italian or Spanish (would be an asset)
