Due to the participation of our company in a long-standing (more than 6 years) Maintenance and Modification type project for Statoil including 10 platforms engineering service, we are currently in need of candidates for the following position:
Instrument Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Identifying scope of work for instrumentation systems.
- Preparation of estimates for instrument scope of work.
- Carrying out instrumentation system design activities incl, preparation of the following documentation: work packages, instrument lists, data sheets for process instruments, block diagrams, cable diagrams, IS calculations, loop drawings, wirings, instrument location layouts and other.
- Coordinating project deliverables with other discipline groups.
- Selection and specification of instrument equipment based on Client’s requirements.
- Preparation of technical specifications to suppliers and bid evaluations.
- Inter-discipline document reviews and supplier documents reviews.
- Preparation of study reports, site investigation reports and design calculations.
- Participating in FAT ( Factory Acceptance Tests) at suppliers location.
- Providing input to procurement.
- Input to planning and reporting systems.
- Input to tenders.
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of field instrumentation systems.
- Ability to prepare specifications for field instrumentation and packages.
- Familiar with P&ID, IS calculation, Ex documentation, loop drawings, instrument lists and other instrument documentation.
- Knowledge of CAD software: AutoCAD, Microstation or other.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Able to work in a teamwork environment in a group of professionals.
- Good command of written and spoken English (minimum B2 level).
