The global mobility team play a key role in delivering Aon’s Talent strategy and facilitating the international movement of Talent to support the achievement of Aon’s strategic objectives. We operate as a strategic partner within the People Organization, connecting our colleagues to opportunities worldwide, creating a globally connected organisation that attracts, retains, and develops Talent.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Krakow office.
The role will support Aon’s international transfer population. This will include:
- Managing the end-to-end relocation process for assignees and permanent transfers with a focus on strong relationship management to maintain open and effective communication,
- Acting as the primary point of co-ordination for key stakeholders (The relocating assignee or permanent transfer, the business, People Partners, Legal team, Tax team, Payroll, and the Total Rewards team),
- Pre-assignment planning and advisory on the best way to structure a move including policy and package selection,
- Providing advisory support on other cross border working scenarios (For example extended business travellers and international remote workers),
- Preparing cost estimates and assignment/transfer documentation,
- Supporting the transfer approval process,
- Initiating, co-ordinating and managing relocation support and logistics including immigration, flights, housing, education, destination services, and tax in partnership with internal and external partners,
- Briefing relocating colleagues on all relevant aspects of their assignment / transfer,
- Talent management activities throughout the life cycle of the assignment by supporting pre-assignment planning, Talent interventions during the assignment and upon repatriation.
- Communicating proactively with all stakeholders throughout the assignment/transfer lifecycle,
- Managing various GM vendors to ensure a positive colleague experience,
- Supporting the review and approval of vendor invoices,
- Operating HR and GM technology solutions (Workday and KPMG Link Enterprise),
- Partnering with the GM Payroll and Compensation team to ensure accurate assignee pay and allowance processing,
- Managing GM policy exceptions and escalations to the Head of GM where required,
- Maintaining good Aon and GM system data integrity for GM Reporting & Analytics requirements,
- Supporting any GM related projects and identifying areas where GM improvements can be made within current policies, practices, and the colleague experience.
The global mobility advisor will report to the head of global mobility and play a key role within the global mobility team. The success of the role is measured by the ability to deliver a quality GM advisory service that is simple and easy to understand, provide excellent client service, and a positive colleague experience.
- Demonstrated experience in global mobility,
- Have a good understanding of GM technical competencies including immigration, tax, expatriate compensation principles and standard GM policies and processes,
- Have empathy and understanding of the challenges international moving can create for colleagues,
- Be able to deliver a GM advisory service,
- Knowledge of the Workday HR system,
- Knowledge of a GM workflow and administration tools (i.e., KPMG Link Enterprise)
- University Degree or equivalent
- Good spoken and written English
- Proficient in Excel
