The Learning Organization provides Learning and Development services aligned to organizational needs across Motorola Solutions in partnership with HR and the Business teams. The Employee Learning team provides targeted Learning programs for the functional teams and a full suite of both online learning and instructor led programs to help employees and teams enhance their skills.Employee Learning is a critical part of the Learning & Development initiatives at Motorola Solutions. There is an opportunity for a Global Learning Lead to consult with Senior Leadership heads of business units to understand their business needs, recommend and create targeted programs to help meet the needs of the business in order to increase performance for their teams. The role involves working with businesses and teams in MSI locations around the world.

1) Portfolio lead for a category of courses to be available across MSI. Ensure portfolio is aligned to the needs of senior leadership stakeholders and available across the regions. Liaise with regional teams to ensure courses for Instructor led are available at the different sites. Ensure availability of programs worldwide for Online training and Virtual Library. Prioritize list of requirements and potential opportunities with available resources and looking at the greatest impact for MSI.
2) Functional Lead with key stakeholders a) Understand business needs, challenges and aspirations of the leaders to be able to recommend Learning plans in alignment with their needs
b) Recommend and promote content /programs from the resources Learning already has available which align to the given function/team (such as from the Online courses) ; must be able to select and recommend summary level information presented in a way that the teams can easily take action.
c) Create Learning programs for prioritized requirements which meet needs of the business /functional stakeholders
The role will involve:
- working across countries both internally and externally.
- working with 3rd party partners and start initial discussions and negotiations for programs.
- Although the position does not have direct reports, this successful candidate will be managing and influencing virtual teams through projects as the Foundational portfolios span across Motorola Solutions covering all sites, regions and employees
• Strong background in Organisational Learning and Development or a strong business or R&D project expertise
• Project management and ability to work across multiple teams
• Comfortable with Social media and ability to communicate and collaborate online
• Ability to influence and work with virtual stakeholders and virtual team members
• Ability to interact and influence senior management
• Consulting skills or ability to understand needs and translate into programs
• Ability to prioritize from multiple requirements
• Problem solving and creative thinking; ability to independently work with ambiguity
• Must have excellent English communication skills in writing and verbally
• Experience in negotiations with 3rd parties/ vendors will be an advantage
• International experience will be an advantage
