For our Client, an international organization with worldwide presence and operations, due to further development of its Shared Service Center structures, we are currently looking for talented and experienced leaders for the position of GL Team Leader. The successful candidate will be involved in process migrations to Warsaw as well as building and managing a team of Accountants.
Opis stanowiska / Job description:
- Manage a team of accountants responsible for preparation of month end management accounts for the entities in a timely and accurate manner
- Control of the period end close for the supported business ensuring compliance with agreed closing schedule
- Provide explanation for significant & unusual variances between estimate & actual Profit & Loss figures on a monthly basis
- Manage reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts
- Liaison with local provider of statutory accounting services to ensure accurate & timely statutory reporting
- Support internal and external auditors to ensure highest quality of operations within the team
- Gain knowledge on operational activities/issues facing the markets and how these impact results
- Maintain good working relationships with SSC customers and other SSC teams
- Play a key role in continuous improvement programme (identify opportunities and lead the change)
- Drive people agenda (regular meetings, frequent feedbacks, coaching, recognitions, development plan)

Kogo szukamy / Profile description:
- Masters degree in Accounting or Business required
- 5+ years experience in finance/accounting
- Strong US GAAP knowledge (local GAAP would be strong benefit)
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in supervision or lead role
- Fluency in English is a must
- Fluency in French, German or Italian
- Proficient in accounting systems (preferably SAP)
- Strong time management skills, ability to multitask, highly organized
- Ability to drive the timely resolution of identified problematic areas with other departments within SSC and business
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and leadership skills, ability to motivate team members
- 5+ years experience in finance/accounting
