GDS Executive
MAIN DUTIES:
• To work, as part of a team, to fulfil all name changes, airline schedule changes, voluntary changes, Ticketing, cancellations, refunds, reissues, BSP reporting, EMD issuance, GDS queries by Customer Services and Call Centre,APIS and SFPD information generated from the sale / amendment of scheduled flight seats within company and airline deadlines.
• Be aware of IATA process on how to calculate costs for date amendments.
• Maintain awareness of ADM policies and strict airline processes.
• To work to agreed daily and weekly KPIs set by the UK Aviation department.
• To monitor allGDS Aviation mailboxes and action all e-mails within the company and departmental time frames.
• To comply with the agreed working practice within Aviation to present an efficient and cost effective area for the business.
• To assist all departments, UK and International, with all GDS Aviation queries.
• To amend system bookings, with minimal delay, and communicate within the business as agreed internally.
• To communicate both internally and externally as directed and agreed, including direct contact with our customers.
• To produce reports as required.
• To re-protect, all GDS flight components for UK and International which have failed the booking process, within the company SLAs, to avoid fare increases.
• To continuously seek to improve the ways of working across the team/business.
• To fulfill all Allocation / Group bookings within the company deadlines and procedures.
• To assist, when required, with ad-hoc workload and projects across the business.
REQUIREMENTS:
• To demonstrate a committed “can do” attitude and a flexible approach towards the role with the willingness to work additional hours when necessary.
• Flexibility to apply the same approach for ad-hoc and emergency requirements outside of the daily remit.
• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Attention to detail in all aspects of the role with the “goal” of 100% accuracy.
• Customer service levels, both verbally and written, to be of an excellent and professional standard.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role in addition to the ability to work as a part of a team and/or alone as required.
• Knowledge of aviation would be beneficial.
• GDS experience would be essential (preferable Amadeus and / or Galileo).
• A strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
