For one of our client, that is one of the market leaders in online trading in the UK, expanding now covering 16 countries over the world, seeking a self-motivated and experienced front-end developer, with 1-3 years’ experience in producing bulletproof HTML and CSS templates from various design assets.
This is a very interesting engineering challenge – on IG trading platform there are on average 10 000 customers at the same time so the website is changing very dynamically, platform has to be super-responsive, highly scalable systems, very complex single page application; very demanding customers trading with high amounts of money.
Job Duties:
- Regular scope to apply your expertise to many interesting technical problems.
- Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
- The position requires constant communication with colleagues, both in London and Krakow.
- Primarily working with a Java team running a secure client-portal, consuming various 3rd party resources including live prices, personalized content and social feed integration.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential
- Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
- Good ability in code reviewing, refactoring, testing, analysis and optimization.
- Expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and APIs.
- Experience with Git or similar code management solutions.
- Strong native JavaScript knowledge and awareness of libraries such as jQuery and why they might be used.
- Experience with Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks.
- Degree-level qualification.
Desired
- Front-end customization, personalization and multivariate testing
- Experience with scrum and agile methodologies.
- Continuous integration tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, etc.
- Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.)
