France IT spot Buyer (GCM4) (m/f)
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the establishment of best commercial practices, reduction of purchasing costs and the reduction of suppliers.
- Highlight areas for Catalogue creation and promote catalogue usage.
- Contribute to improvements for efficient and effective purchasing processes and systems.
- Have an awareness of local and global contracts in order to deliver real business benefits to external customers and Company as a whole.
- Maintain relationships with relevant suppliers and customers.
- Ensure the relevant engagement of the Buying function.
- Performs trend analysis on customer requirements.
- assists with the deal registration process.
Candidate’s Profile:
- Graduate Calibre.
- Minimum 2 years previous general office, sales customer service or purchasing experience preferred.
- Speak French and English.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Have a spirit “make things happen”.
- Ability to work under pressure (Quotes for Bid must be delivered in a short notice) and through multi-background team.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes and systems.
- Reporting skills.
- Takes initiative to keep skills up to date and maintain awareness of developments in the industry sector.
- Has good understanding of how to use preferred suppliers.
- Knowledge of Excel.
- Able to plan and manage own workload effectively.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Is able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with clients, customers, colleagues and subordinates.
- Able to progress issues and queries, escalating when necessary.
- Is able to analyse, diagnose and prioritise work and present results effectively, making correct choices based on such analysis.
