We are currently seeking a Financial ReportingTeam Leader to manage the day-to-day provision of financial reporting servicesof the financial reporting Department.
Working closely with the Financial ReportingManager and the Supervisor, the Financial Reporting Team Leader will allocate tasks and workload to the Financial Reporting Representatives and Senior Financial Reporting Representatives to ensure the timely and high-qualitypreparation of statutory annual and semi-annual financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertaking primary responsibility for the provision of financial reporting services to allocated clients.
Day to day management of operations for preparation, review and delivery of statutory reports and assigned sections of board packs.
Responsibility for communications to regulators, compliance and internal and external audit.
- Communicatingwith clients on a regular basis; acting as a key client contact, ensuringtimely and accurate responses to any client queries.
- Reviewing and updating department procedures to ensure they are current, complete and reflect best practice.
- Assisting in the evaluation and developmentof enhancements to the Financial Reporting and Fund Accounting system toautomate procedures for financial reporting purposes.
- Primary responsibility for coaching and developing his/her reporting team-members and providing appropriate feedback via periodic meetings and the firm's performance appraisal process.
- Developingand maintaining a strong familiarity with applicable laws, regulations andinterpretations governing financial statements and disclosure, including IrishGAAP, IFRS, US GAAP, Luxembourg GAAP, UCITS Requirements, Companies Acts and Stock Exchange listing requirements (e.g. Irish Stock Exchange).
- Keeping team-members informed of new industry developments relating to financial reporting disclosure requirements.
This position requires a person with a degree in accounting or financeand 3 years experience in a fund administration environment or similar experience in a financial reporting role. You should possess strong reviewing skills and ability to work in a client-driven environment. You should be focus on mentoring and coaching all direct reports. Fluency in English is required.
