Your role
Do you want to keep criminals from abusing the financial system? Do you have a keen eye for detail? We're looking for someone like that to:
- perform investigations and analysis over new and existing clients relating to of red flags/high risk factors such as PEPs, negative news, sanctions, etc.
- carry out AML related investigations and report suspicious transactions to the local authorities
- provide advice regarding enhanced due diligence, KYC standards, internal policies and local regulations
- Liaise with the business and wider legal and compliance to assess FinCrime and reputational risk presented by clients and new business opportunities.
- prepare for and provide follow-up for regulatory inspection and audits
- keep on top of regulatory developments in the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing activities
- Support the department with the wider Financial Crime program, where required, such as Anti-Bribery and Corruption
Your team
You’ll be working in Krakow as part of the EMEA Financial Crime team within Compliance & Operational Risk Control in the Investment Bank. We are comprised of both Due Diligence Officers (DDO) and our Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). We work as a gatekeeper in preventing money laundering, corruption and the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT).
This specific role will be primarily based within the Financial Intelligence Unit.
Your experience and skills
You have:
- a graduate degree and several years of relevant experience
- previous compliance or audit experience in AML
- experience pertaining to Investment banking
- knowledge of various legal entities, trust structure and fund structure set ups
- practical knowledge of relevant AML/CFT laws and guidelines
You are:
- proactive and able to work independently
- known for having a strong attention to detail and strong research capability
- a clear and effective communicator, both verbally and with written reports
- fluent in [languages] (desired)
