Your role
Are you an expert on mitigating risks for Finance Department or have Finance and Accounting experience? Do you have an analytical mind and are focused on delivering solutions? We’re looking for someone like that to:
- Perform analytical reviews and assessment of Finance Department's risk and control information;
- Propose and coordinate quality improvement activities;
- Manage relations with stakeholders;
- Act as a "buddy" for junior colleagues;
- Provide subject matter expertise in risk management; lead trainings and awareness presentations
Your team
You’ll be working in the Central Risk Services Department in the UBS office in Zabierzow (Krakow Business Park). Our role is to support Compliance & Operational Risk Controllers responsible for the oversight and implementation of the operational risk control framework and compliance within the Finance function. As a result, you will work closely with Group Finance Compliance & Operational Risk team to provide risk analysis and assessments, and support the Group SOX Office in concluding on the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting across the bank.
Your experience and skills
You have:
- At least 3 years of experience in one of the following area: Finance, Accounting (GL preferred), Financial Reporting or Risk Management for Finance and Accounting;
- Understanding of operational risk management concepts and its implementation in practice.
- Preferably proven track record of knowledge of internal control design and risk management;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and understand processes and controls at a high level.
You are:
- Independently minded, strong technically with problem solving/analytical skills;
- Team-orientated, while able to complete tasks independently and autonomously
Additional assets:
- Experience with SOX controls
- Familiarity with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, etc.)
- Professional certifications
