For our Client – international company (from investment branch) which decided to create financial headquarters in Cracow, we are currently looking for:

Financial Accountant – Tax Reporting

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years post professional accounting qualification experience working in a financial control/ finance function or statutory financial audit training experience working for a medium to large size audit firm
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or related
  • A professional accounting qualification or similar post-graduate qualification, for example an ACA, CIMA or ACCA
  • Strong hands-on accounting skills, journal preparation & review, preparation of analyses, Balance Sheet controls and reconciliations, P&L and Balance Sheet ownership
  • Experience in reporting financial information under IFRS
  • Development and improvement of accounting processes and controls
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Wide ranging financial and management accounting experience, production of management accounting information including: profit and loss statements, balance sheets, narratives, variance analysis
  • Attention to detail, meeting regular deadlines, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities, strong team ethos
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, advanced formulas)
  • Experience in regulatory reporting and/ or tax compliance and reporting
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work unsupervised, showing initiative in identifying problems and posing solutions
  • Strong teamworking skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the ongoing monitoring, review and efficiency improvements of processes and controls across the Financial Control function
  • Maintain process documentation and procedure manuals
  • Assist to ensure Financial Control risks are being identified, investigated, managed and reported within established guidelines
  • Review of financial information prepared for external tax authorities by team members and coordination with the tax team to ensure delivery in line with agreed time lines
  • Build and develop strong relationships with the business, their own peer group within finance and members of the wider finance department
  • Monthly calls/ meetings with business cost owners and European office heads to review costs against budgets and review budget and forecasts
  • Ad hoc assistance on various projects impacting finance
