Our client is an innovative global leader in the production of parts and technology for the automobile industry. As part or their expanded effort to source top managerial talent from Poland for their European operations, they are currently looking for an ambitious, driven, and talented individual. The immediate need is to fill the role of Finance Manager who will be responsible for the accounting function and the growing operations in Poland. This individual must have the potential to become an executive level director and a leader in the company within the next few years.
- Manage and supervise all financial accounting activities in a manner that ensures compliance with financial and legal policies and procedures with accordance to the Polish Law
- Work closely with the Finance Director to set financial strategy to optimize the effectiveness of the finance division in Poland in order to set a template for other European subsidiaries in the group to follow
- Manage and develop the accounting team and drive the relationship with business partners responsible for outsourced processes
- Prepare Statutory Financial Statements according to Polish accounting standards as well as US GAAP
- Ensure the timely preparation of the annual budget and management reports in cooperation with the Finance Director and other key functional managers
- Prepare all required tax declarations including CIT, VAT, FPRON, F01
- Maintain relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and other external institutions
- Relevant University degree in business with a strong focus on Accounting / Finance
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in accounting and finance (Big 4 financial consulting firms or international firms) with preference for experience in Chief Accountant role
- Experience in Automotive industry is a big plus
- Comprehensive knowledge of Polish accounting regulations and tax experience
- Experience with US GAAP and management of SOX compliance in finance processes
- Proven experience in managing people and developing teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Polish and English
- Expert knowledge of SAP and other IT systems to support business needs
- Understands key business drivers and proactively seeks out opportunities and recommends solutions that can be effectively supported
