Woodward’s Industrial Turbine Systems Division is focused on design, production and servicing of electrical and mechanical equipment as well as software for industrial turbine systems (power generation and processing plants, industrial engines incl. marine, etc.). This includes control, protection and visualization systems for all prime movers. We are looking for dedicated Engineer willing to travel and work at our customers’ sites spread across the globe. This position can be filled in by experienced engineer as well as young 1-level graduate, who is excited to learn and travel a lot, courageous to work autonomously with self-learning and problem solving attitude, overcoming various challenges & serving our customers in the good professional manner.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and replacement of Woodward industrial control systems and components
- Troubleshooting and updating software associated with Woodward industrial control systems and components
- Training customers in both formal and practical settings on the use and maintenance of Woodward controls
- Support application engineers through software testing, hardware testing and networking
- Provide customer support for Woodward controls via phone and email
- Preparing trip reports and other job related paperwork for customers and internal distribution
- Often industrial or isolated locations in various countries/continents, sometimes offshore installations,
- Requires high level of physical dexterity and ability to work in confined spaces
- 60-80% travel, mostly international, able to travel on short notice for extended period of time
- Irregular work hours and extra hours expected but under the labor work regulations (job contract)
- While in the office between field service assignments, the Engineer will assist Engineers with projects
- Engineering Bachelor or Master degree in electrical, automatics/robotics or similar area
- Existing experience in similar area would be an advantage but also graduate / entry level will be considered with on-the-job self-learning technical capability (undergraduate/students of last year will be also considered)
- Knowledge of industrial turbines and compressors would be nice but not mandatory
- Communicative English, other foreign language would be an advantage
