Join our Engineering Team as a Field Service Engineer.
Woodward's Industrial Turbine Systems Division is focused on sales, design, production and servicing of electrical and mechanical equipment as well as software for industrial turbine systems (power plants, processing plants, pump stations, etc.). This includes control, protection and visualization systems for all prime movers.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and replacement of Woodward industrial control systems and components
- Troubleshooting and updating software associated with Woodward industrial control systems and components
- Upgrading control systems by removing old controls and installing Woodward controls
- Providing commissioning support to the customer when new plants are being built
- Training customers in both formal and practical settings on the use and maintenance of Woodward controls
- Support applications engineers, product engineers and design engineers to identify opportunities to improve or new product opportunities.
- Support application engineers through software testing, hardware testing and networking
- Providing customer support for Woodward controls via phone and email
- Preparing trip reports and other job related paperwork for customers and internal distribution
- Working conditions: industrial and isolated locations, offshore installations, exposure to heights
- Requires high level of physical dexterity and ability to work in confined spaces
- 60-80% travel, both domestic and international, must be able to travel on short notice for extended periods of time
- Irregular work hours and extra hours expected.
- While in Office between field service assignments, the engineer will:
- Work in product manufacturing
- Assist engineers with projects
- Perform product testing
- Bachelor/Master degree as an electrical, mechanical or power engineer
- Entry Level position
- Very good English
