For our Client - internationally recognized Company, operating in BPO industry, we are looking for highly organized, customer-service focused and experienced candidates on the position of European Finance and Commercial Manager.
The European Finance and Commercial Manager has overall responsibility for the financial and commercial activities of contracts within a clusters in Poland and Germany. This includes ensuring all appropriate activity in line with the Finance Operating Model. This role reports to Senior Finance and Commercial Manager.
The Successful Candidate will be responsible for the finance and commercial activities undertaken across the contracts that including reviewing month end results and commentary, plans, budgets and forecasts as well as interpreting results into initiatives and plans to improve future results. Position of European Finance and Commercial Manager requires making analysis to drive cost efficiencies and revenue generation and to support the contracts in all decisions, bespoke reports for customer or regulatory requirements, ensuring all balance sheet risks and opportunities are known and proposing judgmental adjustments. Ensuring the performance of the contract cluster exceeds the financial targets including growth, profit, cash, budgets and resource utilization; making recommendations for improvement and remedial action, building sound working relationships with the contracts’ operational team, by undertaking the role of business partner and building sound working relationships with the contracts finance teams, providing guidance, support and feedback are also the responsibilities on this position. Preparing a detailed timetable to ensure the contracts are able to meet reporting deadlines set by the division, supporting commercial negotiations from a finance perspective (bids and re-bids), ensuring all external and internal audit matters for the contracts are addressed and ensuring any statutory accounts across the contracts are prepared and completed within the correct timescales are important tasks of this position. It includes also undertaking ad-hoc projects within the contracts as required, supporting business projects, attending relevant contract management team meetings and finance team meetings and being a finance contact point for any contract queries that require resolution e.g. petty cash claims.
As an ideal Candidate you should have minimum 2 years of experience on Finance Manager (or equal) position. Being a qualified accountant and having experience of annual reporting and planning cycles and working in a service centre environment is also the requirement. Staff management and operational support experience, excellent planning, forecasting and accounting skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, good understanding of finance systems (ideally SAP) and standardized processes, excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint will be strong asset. This position also requires ability to interact at all levels and with different cultures, to give an unremitting commitment to building sound working relationships with the operational and finance team, work at a detailed level and at a more strategic level when required, work in a structured and methodical manner, deadline driven, identify business implications in complex data or information. Understanding the business drivers that contribute to value and continually seeks improved and more efficient methods of working are added assets.
