We announced Mabuchi Motor Poland`s establishment in 2017, and it is our first production plant in Europe.

Job purpose
The Equipment Development Supervisor is broadly responsible for researching, planning, coordinating and directing the operations of all production equipment that involve: creating; designing; drafting specifications; improving and adjusting; inspecting; developing; manufacturing and testing mechanical tools and equipment. This Engineering position is an essential part of the manufacturing process as the Engineer designs, constructs and operates the machines involved, but also acts as a leader on all equipment issues and assists, guides and trains staff to ensure success in all tasks assigned to the team.
Essential duties and responsibilities (for about first and second year)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Acquire knowledge of the Mabuchi Group’s manufacturing methods/practices: As preparation for production starts at our factory in Poland, acquire necessary knowledge for production at our existing factories in China (production methods, processes, equipment, documentation, etc.)
- Compliance with audits related to CE certification
- Perform CE certification inspections without supervision
- Comply with CE audits conducted by government agencies, safety bureaus, etc., related to production facilities in the factory
- Apply for CE certifications and process inquiries, documentation, etc. when importing and exporting equipment to Poland
- Prepare technical files related to CE marking certification (manuals, etc.) and documents
- Make recommendations on CE marking of production equipment designed and manufactured in China
- Confirm CE marking related documents (technical documentation, instruction manuals, etc.)
- Compliance with CE regulations when exporting or importing equipment
- Relocate production facilities to production plant in Poland and complete CE marking after relocation
- Make recommendations on contents related to CE marking for equipment when importing and exporting to Poland
- Ensure stable mass production after the introduction of production equipment to the plant
- Provide feedback on equipment defects (quality, productivity, etc.) after introduction of production equipment to the plant, make improvement recommendations, adjust and create production instruction documents
- Confirm equipment specifications when ordering from European manufacturers
- Perform other tasks related to the Equipment Development Group of the Production Engineering Section:
- Provide advice on recruitment activities when hiring Equipment Development Group staff
- Guide and train subordinates
Essential duties and responsibilities (first and second year duties and responsibilities will increase from approximately the third year on)
- Development of production equipment designs according to CE certification regulations
- Review conceptual structure of rationalized factory production facilities
- Prepare documents about these conceptual structures and apply to headquarters
- Design engineering projects; develop jigs and fixtures using computer software
- Machinery inspection
- Make sure that everything is running at optimum efficiency
- Development and improvement of automated machinery; improvement of production equipment used at the factory (productivity, response to quality problems, etc.)
- Control, inspection and adjustment of new production facilities
- Lead the operations of new equipment introduction to the factory facilities
Experience
- Required 5 to 6 years of proven experience in areas described in the essential duties at a production factory (or equivalent)
- Due to the nature of our company (small dc motors manufacturer), experience working with manufacturing equipment (automated machinery) for electric and electronic parts (small motors, connectors, FA equipment etc.) is required
- Experience working for companies related to other industries such as automobile parts, medical equipment, and/or automatic machinery for food products will also be considered
- Previous experience in mass production, in a fast-paced work environment where machinery needs to be arranged in order to get the work done
- Required experience with creation, design, inspection, etc. of mechanical tools and equipment
- Required experience dealing with CE certifications
- Required experience dealing with machinery and/or electric design experience
Qualifications and skills
- Required bachelor degree with a study background of Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Engineering Technology, or other related engineering courses.
- Required English language ability (business communication level)
- Proficient in parametric software (AutoCAD)
- Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office.
- Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications.
- Superior knowledge of mechanical and design techniques
- Excellent ability to envision and develop building blueprints
- Excellent ability to interpret/read blueprints

- Availability to travel to Japan, China and/or other countries for on-the-job-training for an extended period of time sometime between the end of July 2017 to June 2018)
