Develops, implements, and monitors company occupational health and safety (OH&S) programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulations from any regulating authority. Promotes awareness of H&S culture and programs through communication and collaborative team interaction. Reports to EMEA EHS Sr. Manager.
- Conducts job analysis, and oversees safe implementation and final review of all new engineering facilities, maintenance, operations and product development projects
- Investigates incidents and facilitates corrective action to prevent future occurrence. Uses root cause analysis to determine incident trends and unsafe activities as well as provide documentation for regulatory agencies
- Develops and conducts H&S training
- Develops, reviews, and updates EHS procedures, records and other management systems documents
- Routinely inspects work area for EHS hazards and identifies improvement opportunities
- Provides guidance and consultation in H&S topics such as emergency response, manual handling, contractors’ safety, life safety, health/wellness, and ergonomics
- Recognized formal Health and Safety Qualifications
- At least 1-3 years’ experience in the area of Health & Safety
- OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 knowledge
- Very good English language skills
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage changes
- Strong teamwork skills
- Very good communication & interpersonal skills with “can do” attitude
