Engineering Manager System Integration position is for you! The work includes aspect such as formulate plan, allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Ensure team's compliance with standard processes, drive teams performance to ensure that safety, integrity, financial and contractual requirements are met. Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities across teams.
Tasks:
- Leads engineering teams which are responsible for the engineering domains PRIMARY-, SECONDARY, STEEL- and CIVIL-Engineering of HV/MV Substations and ensures delivery of a portfolio of projects on time, in full scope;
- Builds and maintains customer relationships, seeks feedback and provides innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and deliver improvements;
- Provides engineering support during the bid phase, supports presentation of proposals to customers;
- Creates and implements plans for tenders and projects to ensure that technical risks are identified and managed, opportunities maximized;
- Collaborates with the Procurement and Logistics (Supply Chain function) to ensure that correct (total cost / right timeline) suppliers services, equipment and installation material are available to enable proper installation at site;
- Implements, develops and improves valid engineering processes based on the HUB CSE and global ABB Engineering instructions (e.g LOM Engineering), continuously identifies and reflects gaps, and derives mitigation activities to improve effectiveness across the engineering function and to enable exchange of resources within the region central and southern Europe. Develops a vital network in the Engineering Management Team of the HUB CSE;
- Guides, motivates, coaches and develops employees reporting directly and indirectly, within HR policies.
Key requirements:
- University degree in Engineering (electrical engineering or similar);
- 5 to 10 years’ experience as Lead project engineer and at least 2 of the as Engineering Manager;
- Knowledge of substation technology for AIS, GIS and Mixed Technology Switchgear. Basic understanding of the Engineering tasks in PRIMARY, SECONDARY, STEEL and CIVIL Engineering and related authority permission regulations;
- Proactive approach to problem recognition and solving;
- Multifunctional experience with handling plan/ system projects beyond pure engineering tasks;
- Broad knowledge of theories, tools and practices in engineering, project & vhange management. Basic understanding of contact management;
- Experience in dealing with engineering project delivery and Industrial/ Power sector and multinational environment;
- Experience in leading & motivating a team/ functional leaders with a focus on policy, capability, process improvements and people development;
- Expert knowledge in Substations, construction and site related activities;
- Aviability to business travel;
- Very good knowledge of Polish;
- Very good knowledge of English allowing for free communication in the international environment.
