Responsibilities:
FEA Engineer is responsible for analyzing given parts or assemblies with the use of Finite Element Method and given dedicated commercial software (solver). She or he may virtually assess probable failure modes of the part at given loads at an early stage of the product life cycle. Thus serious failures can be in advance avoided for parts that do not withstand the given loads. An FEA Engineer is supposed to give instructions to a CAD Engineer regarding part or part assembly design to fulfill given load-sustainability criteria.
Requirements:
- M.Sc/PhD degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or physics
- strong educational background in mechanics of materials / structural integrity and/or dynamics
- background in FEM and/or MBS
- ability to formulate comprehensive conclusions
- analytic mind, accurate, systematic and self-reliant
- MsOffice applications
- good spoken/written English
Optional Skills:
- experience in Software ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, Madymo, PAM Crash, RADIOSS, HyperWorks
- knowledge in Biomechanics and crash safety field
- knowledge of Unix / Linux operating systems
- German language
