- Experience in leading large GL/FA teams (>25 FTEs), preferably with BPO/SSC environment
- Previous experience in handling internal/external Site Customers from Finance & Controlling Departments and in overseeing the SSC team delivery of submission of finance data in support of the month-end consolidation and financial reporting under US GAAP
- Previous multinational experience, ability to interact within a global organization (Europe, US, India)
- Strong Knowledge of SAP (4.6) Finance and Controlling functionality preferably supporting Fixed Assets, Internal Orders, Account Reconciliations and General Finance functions
- University graduate (Economic studies are an advantage)
- Communicative and good interpersonal skills, strategic thinking
- Proactivity and ability to take initiative
- MBA/ACCA or strong accounting post-graduate level studies preferred
- Analytical profile with attention to details
- Strong Excel and Analytical experience and capability
- Management of up to 5 team leaders and large Record to Report team of ca. 40 analysts who deliver services to most of Delphi sites in EMEA region
- Ensure all General Ledger and Fixed Asset transactions are recorded in accordance with the Delphi Accounting Policies, U.D. GAAP
- Support General Accounting Fixed Asset activities by ensuring a Point of Contact (POC) matrix is maintained and current
- Oversee monthly submission of Trial Balances, booking of Journal Vouchers, submission of VAT and other monthly & quarterly financial reporting including timely account reconciliation
- Maintain Strong Internal Controls surrounding the complete process
- Provide timely responses to Auditors as they complete their various audit procedures, including but not limited to: SOX, US GAAP and statutory audits
- Ensure documents and up to date Standard Operating Procedures, in line with globally defined processes, by working with GBS GPL's (Global Process Leads)
- Overview Fixed Asset process by providing direction and escalation on aging of CWIP, tracking of rebills and processing of invoices
- Submit General Ledger & Fixed Asset service level and business metrics to GBS and to the Divisions
- Coordinate GBS General Accounting & Fixed Asset activities with our BPO providing some services for other locations and processes within the Shared Service Center under metrics & process oversight of GBS GPLs
- Participate in creation and oversight of the Ops review meetings reporting SLA, KPI's, business metrics and be able to provide business explanations for metric variations
- Responsible locally for HR and Shared Service Retention, training and local HR administrative items
- Ensure backup support model is in place including cross training to ensure no support interruptions due to attrition
- Monitor performance of new hires to ensure compliance with common Delphi processes. Provide mentoring and support for training where needed
- Maintain and develop relationships with relevant markets and client serviced by team and all major customers within those markets as appropriate
