The Business and Risk Manager role is hybrid in nature covering a wide range of responsibilities, which include:
Risk Management
- Implementing and supporting global, regional and local risk management strategies and framework. This will include but not be limited to:
GDPR (and Privacy)
- The Business and Risk Manager would ideally have a good working knowledge of GDPR or an understanding of the data / regulatory frameworks that operate across EMEA.
- The Business & Risk Manager will be responsible for pro-actively reaching out across a diverse range of privacy and risk contacts within EMEA to ensure overall EMEA compliance and for issue resolutions.
- The Business and Risk Manager will need to keep abreast of compliance matters that might impact EMEA services and review / raise / rollout compliance where required.
- The Business and Risk Manager will need to establish a process for cataloguing contract exceptions i.e. terms that do not adhere to Aon’s standards and identify, understand and document contract variations.
- The Business and Risk Manager will be responsible for driving Privacy Impact Assessments where business changes require them.
- Should be able to co-ordinate and track audit activities
- Should be responsible for reviewing data incidents / breach trends and recommending / implementing risk mitigation strategies
Limits of liability
- The Business and Risk Manager will be responsibility for leading an audit of client contracts across EMEA around Limits of Liability and putting in place any changes or remediation that needs to be made on the back of this.
- This will include ongoing communications and training, as required.
Business / Data Analysis
- The role will include the active management of non-financial KPIs and Performance Management of the EMEA region, including those services provided by Aon Business Services (ABS).
- This will include the development of a dashboard containing key metrics, and the collation of necessary data.
- Quality Assurance
- Analysing Error and Omission data
- This will require Business Data Analysis and putting mechanisms in place for a Service Management environment across the business.
Misc
- There will also be a variety of ad-hoc tasks, projects and activity that sit under the umbrella of Privacy, Risk and Business and Data Analysis.
- The Business and Risk Manager will work closely with Internal Audit in the planning for and remediation of Internal Audit activity within Health Solutions including analysis and dashboard production
- The Business and Risk Manager will need to get close to Data Security/Cyber risks across EMEA and look to mitigate linking in with the wider community.
- The Business and Risk Manager will need to look interact within the Health community around risk management initiatives outside of their direct remit and plug into their peers in the US and APAC so that they are learning/sharing best practices and being part of a wider community.
Requirements:
- + 5 years previous experience within a similar role with evidence of successful delivery of Audit and Risk Management coordination (ideally GDPR)
- Business Analysis experience (ideally around KPI’s and Service level monitoring and tracking)
- English – C1 level or higher
- Desire to analyse business issues and risks with a view to improving business performance
- Strong risk management experience (where possible. Strong Champions with limited risk management experience can be supported whilst learning these skills)
- Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management
- Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from Executive sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new environments and lead and drive change.
- Sound business judgment.
- Ability to travel 20% working time
- Strong work ethic and tenacity
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills; articulate and persuasive
