- Experience in working in a multinational company, preferably in Shares Service or BPO, managing a team of min 5 FTE's performing Receivables/Collections activities
- Proven track record of knowing what it takes to provide a consistently first class customer service internally and/or externally, with excellent communication skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships (internally/externally), establishing credibility amongst a wide and demanding client group (if applicable)
- Able to organize self (and others if applicable) including effective scheduling, prioritization and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines. Demonstrates a 'can do' attitude
- Master's Degree in either of the following areas: finance/accounting/economics
- Experience in handling customers/ AR/ credit activity – for at least 3-5 years
- Very good command of English language
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel)
- Proactive, Customer orientated and with intercultural competence
- Experience in transition process will be a great asset
- ACCA/CIMA would be an advantage
- Other European language would be an advantage
- Knowledge of any other customer collection tool (e.g. Akritiv)
- Knowledge of SAP
- Responsible for a team performing all aspects of collections regarding EMEA Customers Portfolio, including:
Resolving customer financial queries
Managing overdue payments through Collections Workflow (Akritiv)
Receive and resolve discrepancies (Qty, Price, Warranty, Customer, Freight, etc.)
Prepare and dispatch dunning letters/statements
Receive and give inputs to initiate legal and 3rd Party collections activity
Provide support to AR Team Leader (Regional) and Regional AR Analyst for credit control activities
Month end processing and reporting requirements
Escalation and follow through of issues through Akritiv workflow (Dispute Management tool)
Customer Contact, Cross functional contact and written letters and emails to customers
- Ensure Key Metric's are met and service is delivered to end users Functions (Sales, GBS Finance)
- Assuring the working procedures are updated periodically (SOP's)
- Organizing training of other team members regarding the daily tasks whenever necessary and planned;
- Build, maintain and develop relationships with relevant markets and client serviced by team and all major customers within those markets as appropriate;
- Participation and Lead in Customer and Operational and Regional Past Due calls, meetings with the Key Stakeholders (Divisional Representatives, Customer Executives, GBS)
- The candidate might take partial role in the transition process (ca 4-6 weeks) – afterwards travel requirements are random
