Department Background:
As a Settlement Operation specialist, you will be responsible for delivering cash or securities operations on behalf of our clients. Depending on the designated role, it may concentrate on a specific aspect of the business such as transaction processing, reconciliation and investigations. As an expert, you will be involved in Continues Improvement initiatives as well as operational efficiency, risk, quality, regulatory and strategy projects across teams and locations.
General:
- Responsible for processing and monitoring a wide range of highly specialized operations across numerous financial markets and products
- Responsible for a range of highly specialized and non-standard settlement operations
- Able to manage and resolve situations within established guidelines like escalations or more complex investigations
- Investigating and researching market deviations in order to treat market behavior irregularities to ensure sound business efficiency
- operating on a time sensitive schedule to provide an optimal and consistent service to clients
- Facilitating effective and prompt communication with internal departments and external clients on a daily basis
- Interacting with local market institutions and/or agents (all over the world) to collect information and investigate discrepancies
- Follow the day to day tasks, reports and critical checks
- Ability to carefully perform risky and possibly consequential assignments
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of the team
- Devoted to problem solving sessions, raising gaps in working methods, reviewing operational procedures in own area of expertise and participating to projects or initiatives

Qualifications:
- Preliminary financial knowledge
- Previous experience in banking environment is an asset
- Very good communication skills to ensure extraordinary services for our clients
- Ability to pragmatically and efficiently resolve problems
- Able to manage and resolve situations within established guidelines like escalations or more complex investigations
- Adaptive attitude to varying scenarios and possible stressful situations
- Assertive capabilities to foster efficient inter-departmental communication
- Fluent proficiency in English
