Document Publishing Assistant transform ordinary electronic documents into clean, clear, attractive publications. They use page layout editing, formatting, and typography to create both electronic and print documents of varying size and complexity—from technical project reports and proposals, to marketing materials. Document Publishing Assistant diverse range of skills include document design and formatting, proofreading, and reprographics, and transform them from conception to final/ ready to print document.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provides publishing technical support using MS Office Suite, applicable tools, guidelines and templates,
- Acts as part of production team, collaborating with team members in production of both electronic and print copies of varying size and complexity - from technical project reports and proposals, to marketing,
- Completes routine technical tasks and follow direction from a lead,
- Performs quality control check to meet project quality, objectives and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar working level obtained through relevant job experience may be accepted in lieu of degree level education,
- Prior experience in document editing ,
- Advanced proficiency in desktop publishing software (MS Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English,
- Strong team player, with demonstrated organization and attention to details skills and accuracy,
- Must be willing and able to travel for short periods,
- Experience in hard deadline environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in engineering industry would be an asset,
- Knowledge and understanding of companies similar to Jacobs is desirable.
