Responsibilities

• Build out, direct and lead the work of the distributed software quality assurance teams;
• Supervise, mentor and grow QA Managers, Test Leads, Principal Testers;
• Work with Senior Development & Product Management leadership to deliver high-quality products on schedule;
• Foster and drive good software quality management practices;
• Own & implement quality process improvements and innovations across the globe;
• Foster and drive quality strategy & control practices across offices;
• Work with VPs and other Directors to ensure test activities and resource allocation are aligned with the business priorities and product roadmap;
• Effectively collaborate in a fast paced environment with multiple business teams (Development Management, Product Management, Sales Engineering, Support etc.)
• Communicate project priorities, testing vision to product line quality teams;

Requirements

Required skills and experience:

• MS or BS in Computer Science or Equivalent
• 5+ years in QA Director position
• English on advanced\proficiency level
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Multiple teams leading, mentoring of QA Managers, Sr. Test Leads, Engineering leaders
• Hands on experience with various testing types in the past (including performance, automation, scalability, usability)
• Experience with agile development process (SCRUM) and Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience with collecting, data mining and evaluating test metrics (QA efficiency, product quality assessment)
• Experience with successful implementation of process improvements
• Demonstrated creativity, problem solving, intelligent thinking

Desired skills:

• Experience with leading global distributed teams

• JIRA project management/bug tracking system
• Willing to travel internationally on occasion
