We are working on moving some of Norway’s most popular websites from traditional IT infrastructure to modern cloud solutions. All existing and new projects will undergo a thorough automation process. The goal of the team is to minimize the time it takes to build, deploy and debug applications. You will support and strengthen our devops culture by creating tools and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Automating the operations and production of large-scale distributed systems, so no manual intervention is needed
- Advocating for the greatest technologies and approaches (e.g. Docker, Microservices, etc)
- Helping to develop the best possible continuous delivery pipelines supporting features like automated promotion to production, automated canary releasing or blue green deployments
- Finding root causes and troubleshooting when things go wrong
- Working closely with the engineering organization so they follow the infrastructure guidelines and help them make design/reliability trade offs
- Implementing monitoring and logging solutions that enables the production systems to be monitored 24/7
- Responding to requests from engineering by building self-service solutions
- Deploying and maintaining of databases and data store clusters across multiple datacenters worldwide
REQUIREMENTS:
- A strong UNIX/Linux background (as a user and/or administrator)
- Excellent knowledge of HTTP/REST
- Network skills – Load balancers, VPN, IPTables, DNS
- Understanding Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts from practical and theoretical side
- Knowledge of AWS/Heroku/OpenStack cloud platforms
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Programming experience in languages like NodeJS, React, Angular as well as Java, Go or similar
- The ability to write scripts to diagnose problems (Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby or similar)
- Experience in web technologies like Varnish, Nginx and Apache
- Experience monitoring and logging tools – LogStash, Splunk, Nagios, New Relic
- Experience with modern deployment and automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Vagrant, Packer
- Experience with security tools, frameworks and protocols
- Good English
