This team gives you a chance to develop your skills in supporting, building, implementing and improving performance of databases and database servers in nonproduction and production environments for stability, capacity and availability. A potential candidate will have an opportunity to work in challenging role that includes not only supporting simple databases but also supporting more complex designs that includes multiple applications accessing and using the same schemas allowing broad experience to work with different products. Scope of duties:
- Provide operational support for production and non-production databases and database clustersProvide operational support for production and non-production databases and database clusters
- Interface with partners for implementation of requested database scripts and database maintenance
- Build databases and schemas and run scripts on databases in development, integration, certification, production
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems with Oracle and Golden Gate
- Work with development teams to analyze, evaluate and design databases and schemas providing recommended performance improvements where possible
- Develop, analyze and maintain tools that support and automate processes for monitoring databases and implementing best practices
Requirements:
- Experience and strong understanding of Oracle databases
- Experience and knowledge of Golden Gate
- Minimum 2 years of experience as Database Administrator
- Knowledge of Oracle best practices for standard build out and support of database clusters
- Knowledge of OEM or similar monitoring products of Oracle
- Ability to work well with developers, test engineers and nonengineering personnel
- Good communication skills in English
'Nice to have' skills:
- Travel Industry knowledge
- MySQL Database Management System knowledge
- Java knowledge will be a plus
- LINUX knowledge will be a plus
