Experienced and motivated professional will work within a team which is responsible end to end for supporting IT infrastructure and high availability application environment for one of largest financial institution on German market. Current infrastructure is built on high end enterprise solutions and hosted in largest data centres in Europe.
Job description:
Your task is to ensure smooth databases operation in complex high availability web hosting environment in order to provide maximum performance and availability. You will also be responsible of evaluating, upgrading and supporting DB2 and Oracle databases working in Apache, Weblogic infrastructure based on Linux, Unix and Solaris operating systems with clustering enabled on systems and services. Your team will ensure 24x7 operations and focus on Service Level Agreement (SLA) as well as develop and upgrade existing system documentation.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, etc) is an advantage
- Good knowledge in one of following databases: DB2, Oracle DB, MySQL, MsSQL or Postgres
- Experience with installing, configuring, administering of databases servers within large enterprise environment
- Experience with implementation and documentation of processes, procedures and metrics for the purpose of continuous operational improvement and adherence
- Very good troubleshooting skills
- Certification on professional level in databases area is a plus
- Solid experience with SQL language setup is a mandatory
- Experience and flexibility regarding on-call responsibilities
- “Get things done” attitude
- Good German and communicative English language skills
