You will become part of a newly created team and will therefore get the opportunity to not only help to define our Data Cloud journey and build our future setup, but also guiding Danish Crown in creating the future data fabric for analytical and data-driven products.
You will be responsible for building our new Data Platform in Azure; resolving data platform and analytics issues as well as developing tools and technologies to improve the data and analytics platforms.
Build the data backbone for analytics, business intelligence and machine learning
As our new Data Platform Engineer, you will join a team responsible for implementing a company-wide data strategy to deliver a best-in-class data experience for the company. You will use solid cloud platform engineering to build the data backbone for any sort of analytics, business intelligence or machine learning on our Azure cloud platform. You will design and build a well-engineered data platform to support the analytical needs in Danish Crown.
- Develop and automate large scale, high-performance data processing systems (batch and/or streaming)
- Build scalable data platform leveraging modern data platform tools
- Ensure the platform is secure and living up to the security standards
- Design to needed platform scalability, it could be working with tools like Terraform, Ansible or Chef
- Design the needed tooling for CI/CD pipelines and setup Kubernetes and orchestration tools as we start this journey as well
- Work with modern cloud data stack on Azure
- Build scalable, reliable, secure, efficient, and highly performing data platforms and infrastructure for a variety of analytics and business applications
- Contribute to data pipeline tooling to implement and extend its functionality
- Contribute to shared data engineering tooling and standards to improve the productivity and quality of output for data engineers
- Defining data contracts and designing API specifications to expose data and build the API
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree within mathematics, statistics, computer science or the like
- You have knowledge and experience within cloud setup and data platform engineering in the Cloud (ideally Azure, but other experience with clouds is just as welcome)
- You possess a broad knowledge of different types of data storage engines (relational, non-relational), operations systems and database (SQL and NoSQL) and can write code to efficiently transform data between types and formats using modern code development practices
- Knowledge of Python and its main data science libraries (scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy, etc.) is desired
- You master English at the negotiating level
