Your role
This role will require you to work independently, as well as with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across different teams in SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT on activities related to service catalogue management, service pricing, quality control checks and service reporting.
As this role is based in the SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT Service Utility it will allow the successful applicant to be involved in a variety of tasks supporting the different areas of SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT. This will provide a unique front to back view of the processes within the SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT team and also provide the opportunity for involvement in process improvement projects as the team matures.
Tasks within this role include but are not limited to:
- Production of management reporting on service catalogue and Total cost of ownership financials for GCOO)
- Analysis of reports to identify key trends, variences or data issues
- Presentation of report results to SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT stakeholders and internal clients
- Gathering of information from various sources to ensure Service Catalogue is kept up to date
- Support the coordination and analysis required for the annual service pricing activities across GCOO
- Perform control checks on the service catalogue and reporting process to ensure accurate data
- Process updates into various systems that support the billing process for GCOO
- Manage and respond to queries received from internal clients on service catalogue, financials or reporting

Group COO - COO - SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT
Group COO is the business unit at UBS that houses the Group Technology, Group Operations and Group Corporate Services functions, and the SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT team sits within the COO function for Group COO. The Service Portfolio Management (SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT) team has been established to ensure the functions within GCOO provide transparent services and product offerings to the business divisions and other Coporate Center partners at UBS.
The scope for the SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT team has recently increased and it will now provide its services to Group Operations and Group Corporate Services in addition to Group Technology which was previously the main focus.
Due to the increased scope of the SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT function a Service Utility is being created to provide additonal capacity, quality checks and controls across the SERVICE PORTFOLIO MGMT teams.
Having full transparency on costs helps every business line to make choices on how to maximize their profitability. For maximum benefit, Corporate Center service-providers need to able to accompany that data with robust assertions about their cost drivers. That enables the business to understand and manage demand in line with client expectations, with an eye on the bottom line. Connecting cost transparency and Service Quality to establish optimum value will allow GCOO to become a client centric organisation with a strong partnership to improve and enable continued growth and profitability.
Your experience and skills
This role requires:
- BA/BSc degree or Master degree (preferably in a quantitative discipline) or relevant working experience (up to 3 years)
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail / data quality, ability to convert “data” to actionable management information
- Very proficient in the use of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access and SharePoint
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of financal concepts and accounting principles
- A comfort with technical skills and exposure to new systems
- The Individual must be self-starting, possess excellent verbal & written communication skills and be customer oriented
- Excellent listening skills are essential
- The candidate must be highly committed: reliable, and responsive
Additional desirabel skills:
- SQL , VBA or similar data preparation
- Tableau report development
