Would you like to develop a detailed understanding of the Markets and Treasury businesses, by controlling and analysing the PL and Balance sheet as well as building and developing the processes and technical solutions around the control framework? We are now looking for a Controller in Financial & Risk Control to primarily control, analyse and report the daily PL of Markets and Treasury business areas trading activities as well as building and maintaining solutions to support the whole unit.

What you’ll be doing:
- Take ownership of all aspects of the controlling, reporting and analysis of the daily profit and loss (PL) on various trading desks within Nordea Markets and Treasury, including PL attribution.
- Take responsibility of the balance sheet controls and reporting
- Analysing profit and loss and balance sheet drivers with understanding of various financial products and markets and trading activities
- Drive and develop value adding technical solutions to improve both the efficiency and quality of our reporting
- Be part of the monthly closing process of financial reporting in Nordea
- Running controls and validation checks against our inbound and outbound data flows
- Engaging stakeholders with regular and ad-hoc queries, including internal and external auditors

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
- Have a strong command in MS office tools (especially excel)
- Are proactive and willing to speak up, and propose initiatives and ideas based upon your ability to analyse complex issues
- Have a relevant degree in the field of business, economics, finance, accounting, computer science or physics
- Should have strong communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English
- Proficiency or interest to gain proficiency in VBA, SQL and Python is an advantage
Your experience and background:
- We are looking for candidates that have a strong business mindset complemented with technical skills and with good understanding of financial products, financial markets, trading strategies and accounting, either from university studies and/or on-the-job experience.
