We're looking for a dynamic and skilled Control Engineer to join our Product Transfer team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge project, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of machines across multiple projects.
As a Control Engineer in the Product Transfer team, you will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting control solutions provided by machine vendors, ensuring they meet industry standards, safety requirements, and efficiency goals. Your work will be pivotal in achieving seamless system integration and optimal machine performance.
- Control System Design & Testing:
- Assess control algorithms and design control systems (PLC) for newly purchased equipment.
- Conduct system simulation and testing to ensure functionality and performance before machine arrival on site.
- Evaluate system integration with sensors, actuators, robotics, automation, transportation systems, optical, and CMM systems.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Define PLC and HMI programming content, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Ensure the machine’s control system adheres to industry safety standards and regulations, including Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
- Assess emergency stop functionality, interlocks, and other safety features.
- System Integration & Troubleshooting:
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert, defining technical requirements for system integration and functionality.
- Support process engineering in assessing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schemes, ensuring correct tagging.
- Identify and correct issues in real-time by performing system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Vendor Coordination:
- Act as the Single Point of Contact with machine vendors to ensure their systems are designed to connect with external systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Automation, Data Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Relevant work experience, preferably in the medical tech, food manufacturing, or automotive industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in creating, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC programs.
- Strong understanding of PLC documentation, manuals, and programming languages such as ladder logic (LD), structured text (ST), and function block diagrams (FBD).
- Proven knowledge of automation systems, sensors, actuators, and robotic integration.
- Experience in PLC simulation software (e.g., PLCLogix) and communication systems or e-factory systems such as DNC server (Quinx 5000), MES (Delmia Apriso), and SCADA/Historian (Inductive Automation Ignition) is advantageous.
- Experience with Fanuc/Sinumerik controllers programming and protocols (such as Fanuc/Focas, Sinumerik One, MTConnect) is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrable ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Additional Skills:
- Passion for developing PowerBi tools, databases, or programming languages to analyze data, machine learning, and automation.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Language Requirements:
- Communicative Polish and English.
