Are you an developer with focus on web technologies and a passion for delivering great products in a fast-paced environment? Are you interested to work on products used by 150,000+ IT professional from 180 countries in companies like Microsoft, Cisco, US Pentagon, NASA, Secret Service, Oracle and many more?
What Content Developer does in SolarWinds:
- Create and maintain scripts in different scripting languages (Perl, PowerShell, vbscript, bash, ...) for monitoring purposes
- Create and maintain documentation about the scripts written
- Install, setup and configure applications that are planned to be monitored.
- Investigate the installation and documentation to be able to suggest the optimal ways of monitoring each application components
- Assist other team members with the templates and monitoring improvements
- Help to fix script issues on customer's environment, assist the support and sales engineering department
Wymagania
What is needed for this position?
- Experienced in writing scripts in different scripting languages (Perl or PowerShell) on different platforms (Windows or Linux/Unix)
- Ability to write SQL queries to select appropriate data
- Good English skills for writing documentation
- Able to work with very little supervision.
- Quickly learning about new software we want to monitor
What are some desired (not required) skills?
- Experience with Network or System management (Administrator role)
- Experience with managing Active Directory / SQL Server / Exchange
- At least some basic OOP programming background
