Purchasing & Supply Management Department
is looking for a candidate for a position of:
Main tasks:
- Member of a sub-commodity team, in charge of defining the sourcing strategy for Metal Parts & Tubes Region Europe, with connections to other Regions Asia/Americas)
- Drive QDC targets at the sub-commodity level
Responsibilities:
- Define the sourcing strategy together with the commodity team for “Metal Parts & Tubes” sub commodity
- Implement sourcing strategy with support of the Plant Buyer
- Source and Develop new suppliers in Eastern Countries
- Manage supply base (identification, evaluation, approval and development of strategic supplier)
- Responsible for supply management strategy (4 Box)
- Be a source of innovative technical solutions for New Developments (PPD)
- Drive QDC targets at sub commodity level and track implementation (TCO, Quality,
- Timing) with support of plant buyer, project buyer & SD
- Promote Value Analysis / value engineering activities with suppliers.
- Negotiate framework agreements (FWA), QDC contracts
- Support Project Buyer on project agreements (LOI and development contract)
- Supports sites according to escalation processes.
- Support CST to recover warranty cost from suppliers
- Work in accordance with the Volvo CE processes, the Volvo Way, and the Volvo values and behaviors
Expectations:
- Five years of purchasing experience, preferably in an international environment
- Technical Education and/or proven experience within Metal Business
- Fluent in English
- Expertise on Metal Technologies to understand and support the combined P&SM and R&D strategy
- Deep understanding of sourcing strategy process
- Clear understanding and vision of current supply base evolution and supplier market trends
- Experience to deal with European Eastern Countries
- Proven capabilities in negotiation and communication
- Creative attitude and energetic
