Responsibilities:
Brown Brothers Harriman is in need of 2 Cognos Developers to join its CE Cognos Reporting team. The Cognos Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of the firm's Cognos applications in support of the business needs of BBH and its clients.
- S/he will work with our internal and external clients to define and document business requirements and translate those requirements into applications in the appropriate Cognos 10 studio.
- S/he will collaborate with our DBAs, data modelers and administrators as necessary to define and develop new data elements in support of client requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in developing Cognos applications (version 8 and/or version 10) in the various studios. The following studios are listed in order of importance.
- Report Studio (required)
- Workspace Advanced (desired)
- Event Studio (desired)
- Ability to develop complex, highly formatted reports and dashboard including cascading prompts, drill-through capability, and more.
- Ability to read, understand and debug complex SQL.
- Familiarity with Oracle database.
- Comfortable presenting to small groups (presentations, application walkthroughs, etc.).
- You must be fully fluent in English (other languages is an asset).
- Experience or exposure to the financial industry is a plus.
- Cognos 8/10 SDK development experience is a plus but is not required.
- TM1 experience is a plus but not required
