The Center consists of teams responsible for driving major IT and User Experience enhancements for whole European organization, with other teams like Supply Chain, Financial Analysis & Master Data Management also establishing their operations in Gdansk.
Job Purpose
As a Coding Analyst you will report to the Tender Manager / Commercial Manager and be managing the BU Commercial databases in line with EU Common Operating Model and driving quality data delivery to the Tender and Margin teams, ensuring the delivery of:
- A best in class database encompassing all competitor database information
- A clear view of all current Staples product information including alternatives
- A clear and efficient bid income management process
- Audit processes to support all of the above

- Delivery of updated trans codification tables
- Competition knowledge and survey
- Vendor financial support maintenance and accurate coordination
- Tender and retender win rates
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting the bid and margin teams by creating and maintaining master trans codification tables and associated tooling repository by liaising with merchandising teams across segments both locally and centrally.
- Creating lines of communication with key stakeholders to enable competitor tables to be updated swiftly, providing the bid and margin teams with the best possible competitive view and advantage when creating bids and QBRs.
- Creating and maintaining Staples product database to enable bid and margin teams to provide a comprehensive bid response including stock alternatives
- Assist with GAT ad hoc requests for data
- Create processes and database to support the set up and maintenance of the customer vendor support income process, developing a clear stakeholder network to support and monitor the above
- Create vendor support income conditions for all new and existing customers requiring financial support. Maintain stakeholder communication to manage the process within agreed timelines.
- Manage the vendor support process to agreed timelines to ensure regular and full accrual of Vendors within contracted agreements
- Create audit trail to support FP&A with any subsequent Vendor queries or push backs
Knowledge, skills & experience
Education and Experience:
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- Advanced Excel/Access knowledge desirable
- Analytical – able to build complex spreadsheets to support the role
- Able to work with a high degree of autonomy
