Job description
Position: Coastal Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Breakwaters, groynes, seawalls, sluices, pump-systems;
- Beach parks, sand nourishments, and nature-based coastal protection;
- Sea cables, offshore wind farms;
- Dredging and sediment disposal;
- Numerical modeling of waves, hydrodynamics, and sediment transport (e.g. MIKE 21);
- Metocean studies, Boussenesq calculations and and joint probability analysis;
- Sea ice assessments;
- Due diligence studies and wind energy;
- Flood simulations;
- Sediment spill modelling (inputs to EIA’s);
- CFD modelling.
Our requirements:
- Engineering or related background with minimum 3 years of experience and have relevant work experience from e.g. consultancy business;
- High level of English written and spoken;
- Strong professional profile with knowledge and experience regarding coastal- or offshore engineering;
- You are outgoing, positive and solution-oriented;
- You are able to work independently, purposefully and structured;
- You want to work in a dynamic and professionally challenging environment.
