As a Clinical Trainer, your role will be to effectively train and support Disability Assessors through Learning & Development interventions. You will be the key contact, providing support, advice and assistance throughout their learning and development.
- undertake the facilitation and delivery of approved L&D interventions to both trainee and approved disability assessors based upon identified operational needs
- ensure the attainment of operational clinical objectives within timescale
- provide a consistent and professional service to all Disability Assessors through L&D interventions
- demonstrate proficiency and competency in all types of claimant assessment including writing of approved assessment reports to A grade standard in line with service level agreements
- actively drive a team work ethic to maintain overall Service Levels across as defined by the PIP contract
- share experience, knowledge and ideas to assist the development of team members
- communicate effectively (verbal and written) with groups/individual Disability Assessors, taking account of differing learning styles and individual needs
- show an ability to listen, express and articulate information effectively to a wide range of experienced health professionals
- escalate concerns appropriately where a member of staff falls below the overall quality standard
- look for ways to improve quality of service delivery without adversely impacting cost or service level agreements
- a licence to practice as a Nurse
- minimum 2 years' experience in the medical profession
- university degree
- ability to work autonomously without direct supervision
- knowledge and experience of learning styles
- experience of designing and delivering training courses
- in-depth knowledge of the physiological, pathological, social and cultural issues which underpin the PIP assessment criteria and attention to detail
- developed IT skills as the process involves using bespoke IT systems
- excellent communication skills, specifically written and verbal
- understanding of clinical governance
- high ethical standards
- experienced UK registered Health Professional with current and unrestricted professional registration with the NMC would be an asset
- readiness to travel to the UK
- English B2/C1 is a must
