SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out continuous observation of relevant innovations and local legislation (e.g. production technology & standards, occupational safety) for decision making in the area of responsibility as well as in the management team and to ensure compliance.
- As a member of the management team, contribute to the further development of the company strategy and business planning. Contribute to the coordination of business activities to realize strategies and plans.
- Derive strategies, plans and budgets for Operations in line with the strategies and plans in agreement with the superior. Ensure adequate set-up and organization of Operations.
- Ensure production of company's products and their delivery to customers according to production plans (time, cost, quality) within the framework of production principles (LEAN, Kaizen) and occupational safety standards.
- Ensure identification and qualification of local and eastern European suppliers, negotiation of purchase agreements as well as procurement of all products and services according to demand (time, quantity, quality, budget).
- Ensure provision of industrial engineering services for the production, especially steering the introduction of new products, production lines, and production principles. Ensure maintenance of the technical infrastructure as a prerequisite for operations in cooperation with external providers.
- Ensure efficient warehouse operations, especially incoming and outgoing goods control, inventory control, and optimal coordination with production to support the achievement of objectives regarding time, cost, quantity and quality.
- Ensure constant production controlling, monitoring of KPI, identification and reporting of deviations from plan to the superior.
- Ensure the solution-oriented cooperation of Operations functions with Finance & IT, Quality, and HR
- Initiate projects within the area of responsibility to optimize work (e.g. LEAN, Kaizen)
- Ensure risk management for the area of delegation according to local laws and requirements. Inform the relevant functions in case of deviations and initiate corrective measures.
- Coordinate the work of the purchasing department, engineering department, the logistics department and the final production (a total of 120 people)
REQUIREMENTS:
- University / Technical college degree in engineering
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in operations, purchasing, industrial engineering, lean management
- Broad functional experience and technical skills in areas of operational management
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Experience in developing and mentoring team for optimal effectiveness
