Chief Accountant

Your Task
- Supporting adjustment of a new accounting system’s interface to make it ready for go-life as soon as possible and therefore to be able to start internal bookkeeping for 4 polish legal entities of Hemmersbach
- Interfacing with local IT consultants to test recent ERP software’s implementation
- Supervising all Polish accounting processes within the company
- Executing daily general accounting activities and month-end/year-end closing processes
- Preparing and submitting tax returns/monthly tax calculations PIT, CIT, VAT
- Overseeing timely preparation of financial statements as well as TAX and GUS
- Performing account and balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing intercompany settlements
- Recording transactions in the accounting system, including revenues and costs, accounts receivable and payable, bank statements, fixed assets, general journal entries and F/X valuations
- Providing data and analyses for audit and control activities, also for internal purposes
- Preparation of reporting towards parent’s company and annual management accounts ready for audit
Our Requirements
- University degree in Finance and Accounting
- Min. two years of experience as a Chief or Senior Accountant
- Strong, valid knowledge of Polish Accounting Act
- Prior experience with ERP systems
- Conceptual and solution-oriented thinking as well as structured working
- Highly-developed communication skills and good team spirit
- Hands-on approach, target-driven and can-do attitude
- Native Polish and fluent English as a must
assets:
- Polish Chief Accountant, Polish Auditor, ACCA or CIMA Certification
- People management skills and willingness to lead a team
- IT literacy, experience in systems’ implementation, knowledge of SAGE X3 ERP preferable
