For our Client – international company (from investment branch) which decided to create financial headquarters in Cracow, we are currently looking for:
Requirements:
The role has responsibility for ensuring that the current Finance Systems environment, from across finance and the business, are suitably maintained and supported. The primary focus will be the core accounting system (general ledger - SUN), procurement system (Proactis) and the maintenance and troubleshooting of various MS SQL and VBA processes. Involvement in project work to improve the finance systems architecture and exposure to various source systems interfaces will provide a broad scope to the role.
Requirements:
- University degree ( in Finance, Accounting, IT, Maths or similar)
- Experience of maintaining and developing finance systems (listed below) and a proven aptitude for finding systematic solutions to problems
- Experience/involvement in designing, implementing or upgrading a general ledger, preferable SUN, to review and improve the current set up and integration with the finance systems architecture
- Experience maintaining and developing MS SQL / SSIS packages within a finance systems environment
- Attention to detail; taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities; strong team ethos
- Working in a fast passed environment meeting regular individual as well as team/ project based deadlines
- Experience in working between Finance and IT department and understanding the different objectives each work to meet
- Required Systems Skills:
- SQL (2008 R2)

- Sun (5.4.1 or above) + Vision (Q&A 10) or other accounting application
- Proactis or other purchasing application
- Advanced Excel
- VBA (Macros)
- Microsoft Access
Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth running of the finance systems software products included in this role
- Be a main point of contact for the for the Financial Control team and be responsible for maintaining, support and developing the systems and processes required to meet their internal and external reporting requirements
- Work closely with the Finance Systems team and wider finance to implement and, where required, add to the finance architecture strategy. This includes understanding and considering system and process interdependencies
- Project manage selected deliverables is a full project life cycle (requirement capture, solution design and incorporation into strategy, to final roll out and user sign off)
- Work closely with the wider IT department to ensure UAT testing of all changes to finance software products, including arranging for key staff to test their areas of the software before going live.
- Documenting all finance systems processes and procedures supported
- Be the ‘go to’ contact point for issues arising from the system processes for daily operations
- Provide training and support for finance system users
- Maintain external relations with 3rd party Finance Systems support providers and advise on upgrades and improvement options
