Join our Power Solutions as an Application Engineer – Cabinet Design.
Woodward Power Solutions is focused on sales, design, production and servicing of electrical equipment for power generation plants. This includes control, protection and visualization systems for all prime movers, power generation systems and power distributing systems.
DUTIES:
- Electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings (3D) for control cabinets and distribution switchgears based on input information from "Application Engineering – Systems" using ePlan and ProPanel.
- Compiling of cabinet manufacturing and customer documentation using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
- Usage of an ERP systems to initiate the material procurement and of an Documentation Systems.
- Supporting the Manufacturing, Test Field and Field Service Groups in order to maintain existing designs, resolves issues and execute continuous improvements.
- Coordination of translation for customer documentations.
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent education. Focus on cabinet design for control & distribution cabinets is desired.
- At least 2 years of professional work experience with cabinet engineering.
- Knowing about the relevant IEC standards (e.g. IEC 61439) and how to consider these during cabinet engineering.
- Expert knowledge in drawing systems ePlan (electrical) and ProPanel (3D mechanical), incl. creation and usage of macros & external material databases.
- Solid knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and with XI Pro.
- Solid knowledge of ERP and documentation systems
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic understanding of electrical component function as well as of cabinet manufacturing, erection and installation processes.
- Capability for teamwork is an important requirement.
- Ability to effectively operate in a cross-regional and cross-functional project team environment and to communicate with customers.
