Application Developer (4GL/ C/ Java)

Requirements:

• You have an IT-related Bachelor or Master degree or an equivalent level by experience
• You have at least 2 to 3 years experience in application development
• You have strong skills in software development (4GL, C or Java) and relational databases (Oracle)
• You are passionate about application development, having an IT-related Bachelor or Master degree is an asset
• You are flexible for business travel, especially at the beginning where training will be foreseen on site in Gratkorn
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• You are a flexible, discrete person with a good team-spirit
• You are customer, service oriented and results-driven
• You are very driven to be an expert in information technology and keep yourself up-to-date in this area
• You are self-motivated, have a proactive personality and a ‘can-do’ attitude
• You have great communication skills
• You have an excellent knowledge of English, German is helpful

Responsibilities:

• Application development / modifications / maintenance
• Take part in projects to develop and implement IT applications, based on business requirements and Sappi’s strategic plans
• Development of add-on´s as well as enhancing and maintenance of existing 4GL source code (mainly Panther from Prolifics)
• Optimization and maintenance of application software, targeted at an optimal support of processes
• Support preparation, testing and implementation of new software releases
• Incident management / problem solving
• Support of all mill system applications to ensure an optimal and undisturbed process flow in the mill (24x7)
• In collaboration with all involved departments ensuring optimal support of interfaces to critical process, mill and central systems
• Incident management and 2nd line support
