Our Global Delivery Center (GDC) engineers in Krakow and Warsaw office collaborate on the design and delivery of local and global projects in the fields of engineering, design and construction. Our Global Business Services (GBS) specialists provide global support and expertise in the fields of Accounting, Procurement, IT, HR and Graphic Design.

 

We are looking for a talented Agile Coach/Scrum Master with a strong Agile delivery background to help us introduce, embed, and drive agile ways of working both internally within Jacobs teams and externally within our client projects, where we are pioneering Agile Ways of Working in infrastructure engineering. To be successful in this role, you should have a firm grasp of Agile practices and have experience leading integrated delivery teams using Scrum and/or Kanban. You will also be able to collaborate to manage dependencies and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:
  • overseeing and guiding teams within a wider programme of work
  • ensuring that integrated delivery teams follow Agile values and practices
  • mentoring and motivating team to improve processes
  • define KPIs and continually coach to a higher Agile maturity level
  • facilitating Agile ceremonies, meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating impediments

Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Solid experience in a Scrum Master/Agile Coach role
  • In-depth knowledge and experience implementing one (or more) Agile methodologies (such as Scrum or Kanban), with experience from inception to outcomes
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency 
  • Demonstrable experience in setting up new agile teams, coaching and improving the way they work, implementing best practices and improvements by retrospection
  • Increasing transparency of teams work and sharing team successes, best practices, risks, issues and ensuring items are timeboxed as appropriate
  • Working with metrics to identify improvements at the team and organisation level
  • Work with Project Managers or Product Managers to drive effective KPIs
  • Highly effective relationship management skills, with the ability to find ways of resolving blockers and impediments
  • A good understanding of team dynamics and how people respond to change; ability to articulate the agile mindset shift in practical and real terms to people
  • Hunger to learn, self-motivation and ability to stay focused in fast paced environment. Be prepared to get involved.
  • Be a mentor. Keen sense of developing, building and mentoring people through difficult situations and contexts
  • Share knowledge and experience across the global Agile community to improve the application of Agile practices across Jacobs
  • Experience of working with remote teams
  • Experience of working with Agile at scale or an awareness of scaled frameworks would be advantageous
  • Agile certifications required particularly in Scrum, Disciplined Agile Delivery or Kanban; coaching qualifications would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of the infrastructure or engineering sectors are a bonus, but by no means essential; you’ll be an Agile evangelist first and foremost
