Eaton campus in Tczew manufactures transmissions and transmissions components for heavy and medium duty trucks, superchargers for passenger car engines, differentials for use in construction, agriculture and military vehicles, centrifugal clutches for use in mobile refrigerating units, plastic fuel vapor valves for passenger vehicles, clutches for various commercial vehicle applications. The site has around 650 employees and a production space of 25 000 sqm. Additionally Tczew is home to numerous corporate roles and functions including engineering, supply chain, accounting, IT.
Aftermarket Stock Supervisor plans, monitors and reports aftermarket inventory to ensure material availability and accurate forecasting for customer orders and internal (or external) suppliers. Analyzes and manages inventory levels and forecast data to ensure that inventory levels are maintained, back orders are avoided and inventory turns are preserved. Indicates to suppliers (internal and external) the priorities on the basis of customer requests and escalates issues in order to guarantee the respect of the promised dates. Develops systems, reporting activity and procedure to meet service and inventory turn objectives.
Position reports to Materials Manager in Turin.
Essential Functions:
- Plans and manages inventory levels and forecast data to meet profit, inventory targets and goals
- Negotiates with suppliers (and escalates where needed) to improve shortfall between current plan and new requirements to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Interacts with suppliers shop floor management on a daily basis to collect information regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Customer Service, Divisional materials team and Sales
- Analyzes data, including enterprise requirement planning information, and prepares reports as needed for execution and recommended actions in order to optimize After Market ledger results
- Ensure that Freight Cost is in line with goals, especially limits premium freight to minimize costs Maintains ERP set up data to ensure lean and robust scheduling process and EPM updated
- Follow ups on engineering change process to minimize impact on production inventory and customer requirements
- Monitors and matches demand and capacity in order to ensure accordance with SIOP and optimal levels in AM inventory
- Preferred Master degree in B&A or Engineering or Economics
- English language skillto provide verbal and written communication
- 3 years in Supply Chain Area (Production Planning, Material Planning,Warehouse, Customer Service) or consultancy experience in Manufacturing & SCM area
- Experienced in MS Office (especially Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)
- Proven experience as inventory manager or similar position
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CPIM) will be a plus
