What the day will look like
- Produce, implement, and support enterprise-level designs for Active Directory and Windows File Services and technical components for authentication, authorization, identity provisioning, audit & monitoring solutions.
- Find opportunities to innovate, extend and improve service delivery across existing access request and provisioning technologies.
- Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for corporate Identity Management environment.
- Serve as point of contact for application support, provide guidance and direction in resolution of raised issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.
- Serve as the first line of support for domain technology issues that cannot be resolved by tier one support.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
- Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines.
- Perform AD server configuration according to installation check list
- Design and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate steps.
- Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and improvements to existing solutions or documentation.
- Liaise with service providers, vendors and technology partners to coordinate and release patches on IAM servers.
- Manage customer happiness through effectively communicating and meeting customer expectations
- Planning, co-ordination, and execution of changes in production & DR environments.
- Analysing and providing recommendations on performance improvements & upgrades to Cyber Security solutions as appropriate.
- Assisting with the continuous development and improvement of Cybersecurity solution monitoring and orchestration tools.
- Work with patching team for deployment of MS security hotfixes
- Handling Group policy objects (GPO)
- Handling File Replication service (FRS)
- Diagnose and resolve problems associated with the Directory Replication service
- Configure and handle the AD DNS services
- Managing TS license service on Active Directory domain controllers
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Required Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of WINDOWS operating system, deploying and coordinating Active Directory Domain Services in Windows Server 2019, 2016 and 2012.
- Understanding of ITIL processes of Change management, release management, service operations and continual service improvements.
- Knowledge of general security concepts and methods such as vulnerability assessments, privacy assessments, intrusion detection, incident response, security policy creation, enterprise security strategies, and governance.
- Knowledge of the various industry and government strategies and standards in privacy and security, including Cyber Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Control Objectives for Cyber and related Technology (COBIT), International Organization for Standardization (ISO 27001), SAS70, US National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), and others where applicable.
- Broad understanding of information security best practices, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
- Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users
- Good to have knowledge on Netiq/eDirectory
- Working knowledge on PowerShell scripting, knowledge how to automate basic tasks.
- Basic to good knowledge on VMware, Azure and AWS administration.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to function as a teammate or independently as needed.
- Problem solving and consulting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics.
- Hold or be studying towards intermediate to advanced level platform & vendor qualifications (eg: MCSE etc)
